Walkover Class
Walkover class is designed to teach the proper performance of both the front and back walkover; the skills required before an athlete can learn a front handspring and back handspring respectively. This class is popular among school cheerleaders and is introduced to CheerCo athletes beginning at level one (1) — i.e. the bronze level.
The class curriculum emphasizes the fundamentals of a strong walkover including, but not limited to:
consistent approach;
speed;
body control (i.e head placement, pointed toes, arm/shoulder placement, hip position, etc);
landings (i.e chest placement, controlled ,etc.)
In order to enroll in Walkover Class participants must demonstrate strong execution of the following:

Tumbling to Counts;
Counting to Music;
Tumbling to Music;
Power Hurdle;
Active Shoulders
Tumbling Body Positions
Push-up to Bridge;
Lying Straight Body Position;

Lunge;
Standing Straight Body Position;
Standing Tumbling
Handstand;
Backbend;
Backward Roll;
Forward Roll;
Forward Straddle Roll;
Backward Roll to Straddle;
Handstand, Forward Roll;
Front Limber;
Back Extension Roll;
Handstand Block;
Backward Roll, Back Extension Roll;
Back Extension Roll, Backward Roll;
Back Extension Roll Series;
Backward Roll Series;
Backward Roll, Back Extension Roll, Backward Roll;

Running Tumbling
Round-Off, Rebound;

Participants who are unable to perform the skills listed above with excellent execution will not be permitted to enroll in this class. If you are new to the program and don’t know if you meet the requirements for this class you may schedule a free thirty (30)-minute mini class — by appointment only — where one of our skills technicians will evaluate your skills and work with you to determine the best class, or group of classes, to help you reach your goals.
